Terms & Conditions

Last updated: June 24, 2026

1. Booking and Confirmation

By booking a tour package with Wave India Tour & Travels, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Bookings are considered confirmed only upon receipt of an advance token deposit (typically 30% of the total tour cost) and written confirmation from our local office. The remaining balance must be paid upon arrival at Srinagar airport or your first check-in hotel.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

In the event of cancellation, charges will apply based on when we receive your request:

  • 30 Days or More Before Arrival: Full refund of deposit minus a service charge of ₹2,500.
  • 15 to 29 Days Before Arrival: 50% of the advance deposit will be forfeited.
  • Under 15 Days Before Arrival: 100% of the advance deposit will be forfeited (due to hotel non-refundable bookings and vehicle block reservations).
  • No Show: 100% of the total package cost will be charged.

3. Gondola and Sightseeing Permits

Gulmarg Gondola tickets are subject to availability and J&K Cable Car Corporation rules. Because tickets sell out weeks in advance, Wave India is only responsible for booking Gondola rides if the client requests it at the time of the token deposit payment and tickets are available online. If tickets are sold out, we will adjust the itinerary and refund the ticket cost component.

Note that local sightseeing in Gulmarg, Pahalgam, and Sonamarg is strictly regulated by local taxi unions. Outside vehicles are only allowed to drop you off at your hotels. Sighseeing transport inside these valleys will be handled by local union vehicles as specified in your package inclusions.

4. Changes to Itinerary (Force Majeure)

Kashmir's weather is seasonal and mountain roads (such as Srinagar-Sonamarg routes or Zojila Pass) can occasionally be blocked due to landslides, heavy snowfall, or administrative directives. Wave India reserves the right to alter itineraries or rearrange hotel check-ins in the interest of safety. Any additional costs arising from delays, extended hotel stays, or emergency transport during natural occurrences must be borne directly by the traveler.

5. Health and Liability

Travelers are responsible for ensuring they are fit to travel to high altitudes (Gulmarg Phase 2 sits above 4,000 meters). We advise bringing appropriate warm woolens, sports shoes, and consulting a physician regarding altitude sickness if necessary. Wave India Tour & Travels is not responsible for personal injuries, sickness, baggage loss, or damages incurred during the trip.

6. Governing Law

Any disputes arising out of bookings or services provided by Wave India Tour & Travels shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the local courts in Anantnag/Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir (JK), India.
